Introduction to Coaching Football - Discount for female coaches

Modified on Wed, 8 Nov, 2023 at 12:57 PM

As of the 1st August 2023, Introduction to Coaching Football (I2CF), Safeguarding Children Course and Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF) have become three separate courses.

For the last two seasons, we have offered a 50% discount (£80) towards the course fee to all female coaches attached to a Surrey FA affiliated club. This initiative is aligned with The FA’s wider goal of helping to increase participation within historically underrepresented groups, supporting football being truly a game for all.

Previously, the course was wrapped into one at a fee of £160, therefore to reflect the changes to the fee for the course, we will cover the full cost of the Introduction to Coaching Football (I2CF) course (£100).  The new discount fee will take effect for all courses completed from the 1st August 2023.

In order to receive a reimbursement, learners will need to complete the steps below:
Please note you can still access the discount if you have already booked or started the course, you will just need to follow the steps outlined to redeem the discount.

Important information to note
FA Education have confirmed that Safeguarding Children Course and Introduction to First Aid in Football will be pre-requisites. Therefore, if you already hold these two courses, you won’t be required to pay the full fee, and instead will pay only for what you need to complete. For example, if you are an existing volunteer at a club having already completed the pre-requisites, and are looking to step into coaching, you only need to complete the Introduction to Coaching Football (I2CF) course.
